]]> One more meeting remains before our summer interlude, but the master file for DWP’s eighth issue is nearly complete.  Once the last details are finalized we will be submitting the master to our printer.  Look for distribution to commence in late summer.  It’s been a long road since issue seven, but we hope our readers will appreciate the new features and many improvements to the magazine.

At present we have not determined which subscription model will best fit ours or our readers’ needs.  If you are interested in receiving a copy of issue eight as soon as it returns from the printer, please get in touch with us.  If you give us your preferred method of contact we will get in touch with you to make arrangements.

Consider the following for a moment:

You are a military spouse. While your husband/wife is on the other side of the world, you remain behind, raising your children, paying your mortgage or rent, car notes, etc. You have no idea if your spouse will live through the next 7-13 months on the job. Thanks to the federal government shutdown, your spouse’s paycheck, likely your sole or main income, is about to vanish for an uncertain amount of time. Suddenly, in addition to constantly worrying about how you would tell your children their dad or mom is never coming home, you have to worry about something as basic as how you’re going to feed and clothe them. What do you do?
